Leigh Ann Courville is the co-chair of the Early Childhood Education Department at Salish Kootenai College.  She has worked at SKC since September 2013, starting in the Early Learning Center on campus as the Assistant Director/Teacher and eventually assuming the Director position.  In Fall 2018 she moved over to the Division of Education.

Leigh Ann has been in the field of early childhood for nearly 25 years and that work has been in Montana and Alaska including Tribal Head Start and Early Head Start programs, Early Childhood Specialist and trainer for Alaska’s CCR&R (Child Care Resource and Referral), administrator/teacher in bi-lingual Montessori program, family child care, and as a substitute in public schools.

Her interests include place-based outdoor education, role of self-care and mindfulness in early care, and the development of the early childhood professional.
